Archaeological Survey in Bienville National Forest



The National Forests of Mississippi consists of six National Forests located throughout the state of Mississippi. These six National Forests offer excellent recreational activities including fishing, hunting, camping and walking trails.  The National Forests are managed for timber production and the National Forests of Mississippi cover almost a million acres.


GEOServices Services:

GEOServices provided an Archaeological Phase I survey for 239.4 acres in support of timber sales on the Bienville National Forest, Scott County, Mississippi.  The Phase I survey consisted of the excavation of shovel test probes along a grid pattern throughout the entire project area.
