PROJECT OVERVIEW

Description:

The National Forests of Mississippi consists of six National Forests located throughout the state of Mississippi. These six National Forests offer excellent recreational activities including fishing, hunting, camping and walking trails.  The National Forests are managed for timber production and the National Forests of Mississippi cover almost one million acres.

 

GEOServices Services:

GEOServices provided an Archaeological Phase I survey for 100 miles of fire lanes in the De Soto National Forest.  The Phase I survey consisted of the excavation of shovel test probes along existing and proposed fire lane corridors.
